RE:IMAGE Workshop

Join the RE:IMAGE Film Festival team this February for a 3-Saturday crash course in dramatic filmmaking: February 4, 11, and 18… all for just $75!  Register today – Spots are limited!!

Open to any High School student who resides or attends a parish or school in the Diocese of Trenton, this three session workshop will take place at Notre Dame High School, in Lawrenceville, NJ from 10AM to 3PM on 2/4, 2/11, and 2/18.  The workshop will provide instruction on narrative filmmaking: scriptwriting, directing, camerawork, editing, etc.  The aim is to introduce the world of filmmaking to high school students, with an emphasis on using the medium to glorify God.

Students attending the workshop will be encouraged to submit their work to the RE:IMAGE Film Festival, which will take place on May 6, 2012 at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in Manasquan, NJ.  The cost of the workshop is $75 per person for the three sessions and lunch will be provided.  Participation is limited to 15 students, who will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.  Parental permission is required.  The deadline for registration is January 20, 2012.

Meet our instructor, Bonnie Tormey -  She received her Master’s Degree in Humanities with a concentration in Film Theory from Arcadia University, and studied Digital Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy.   Bonnie has worked in professional film production as a producer, production manager and assistant director. Currently, she teaches Introduction to Film and Film Production at Notre Dame High School.  She designed and wrote each course curriculum as a way to teach core academic, business, and interpersonal skills to students using a popular art form.
