Awards

A total of nine awards will be given to the winning filmmakers at the closing ceremony of the RE:IMAGE Film Festival on May 6, 2012.  Films are awarded in the following categories:

Best Picture – Best overall execution of a film in terms of direction, storyline, aesthetics and technical quality, as well as a strong adherence to the RE:IMAGE mission criteria.

Mission Excellence  – The film that best reflects the mission of RE:IMAGE; that best explores the glory of God and his creation, captures the perseverance for justice and truth, and upholds and defends the dignity of the human person.

Viewer’s Choice – The film that most captivates the audience, to be voted on by the audience!

 

High School Competition (open to ages 13-18)

  •  Best Picture – RE:IMAGE Award and $500
  •  Mission Excellence – RE:IMAGE Award and $200
  •  Viewer’s Choice – RE:IMAGE Award and $100

College / Young Adult Competition (open to ages 19-29)

  •  Best Picture – RE:IMAGE Award and $500
  •  Mission Excellence – RE:IMAGE Award and $200
  •  Viewer’s Choice – RE:IMAGE Award and $100

GENERAL COMPETITION (open to all ages)

  •  Best Picture – RE:IMAGE Award and $500
  •  Mission Excellence – RE:IMAGE Award and $200
  •  Viewer’s Choice – RE:IMAGE Award and $100

Bonnie Rodgers – Manager of Programming and Marketing for Catholic TV, Boston MA, and member of St. Eulalia Parish in Winchester, MA

Sam Tomaino – A film enthusiast and lifetime member of St. Peter Parish, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.
